Ingredient
STEP 1
Store dry bird’s nest in a sealed container in a well ventilated area or fridge at 41F. Prepare the appropriate amount (5g/serving), wash before soaking.
STEP 2
Soak for approximately 2-3 hours until soft and translucent. Use Scissor to trim or hand shred the corner part of the bird’s nest and soak separately to prevent over soaking.
*Do not over soak the bird’s nest, once it begins to soften and turns translucent, immediately proceed to the next step to prevent melting during stewing process.
STEP 3
Sift and wash soaked bird’s nests. Soaked weight will be 6-7 times of the dry bird’s nest weight.
STEP 4
Place the bird’s nest into a stew pot. Add water 0.5 inch over the nest. Put the stew pot into another pot. Add water to half of the stew pot height and stew for about 15-20 minutes.
STEP 5
The stewed bird’s nest should be gelatinous and have a protein fragrance. For best results, consume in the morning on an empty stomach. Add ingredients like fruits & milk per your preference.
STEP 6
For any leftovers, place the bird’s nest into a sealed container and store in the fridge. Consume within 3 days.
